Historic
Company Development
On 6 March 1872, the banker Kopp and the former foreman Haberland established
Oschatzer Waagenfabrik Kopp & Haberland, which at that time produced timing
machines, decimal scales, weighing machines, cattle weighers and vehicle scales.
Today, some of these scales are on display at Oschatzer Waagenmuseum (Oschatz Scale Museum).
Oschatzer Waagenfabrik developed into one of the most traditional scale-building
companies in Germany, producing and selling automatic grain scales, bagging scales,
special scales as well as cattle weighers and vehicle scales.
Today, the systems and products of Oschatzer Waagen GmbH are used successfully in
diverse branches of the economy.
In addition to gross and net bagging scales and big bag filling and emptying units,
container scales, bulk weighers and bulk device scales are some of the weighing
technology products manufactured by Oschatzer Waagen GmbH.
